One Yahoo Group successfully transferred to groups.io has many images in albums in the Photos section but also has some jpg image files stored in the Files section; these are *only* jpg images with no text. There is an option setting to Allow Photos in Files and currently that is checked. But, the image is not displayed in Files, though the image file is present. If the (blank) image is clicked, the file downloads to my Downloads folder. Thus, allowing jpg images in Files seems inappropriate if the image won't display anyway; in most cases you don't know what the image is.
I believe jpg images should be restricted to the Photos section and that the option to Allow Photos in Files should be disabled. But, I wonder if textual files with embedded photos would also be inhibited by disabling this Allow Photos in Files option. In that case, I wonder if the image would be displayed or if even the text file would be displayed. What file formats would display in the Files section?
Does anyone know? Comments, please.
