If it doesn't automatically add people in the parent group to the subgroup, why does it say "Directly add members of the parent group to this subgroup" at the top?

Is it as simple as giving you the option of adding people who aren't part of subgroup A already? These are people who are in your main group and the system might be saying, hey, want to add these?

I am not sure if there is an option to clear the direct add box since I have never managed a Premium group.
