Checking transfer status of group I co-own

I asked yesterday how I can check the progress of
our group transfer from yahoo.? I co own a group.? The other owner
paid the fee.? Now he is in the hospital or at least unavailable.?
We initiated the payment and request just before the fee
increase.? We have seen no progress to indicate that anything has
been done.? Someone mentioned a couple of weeks ago that the info
had probably already been grabbed from yahoo but the upload to
groups.io was the holdup.? The natives are starting to get
restless so is there any way to see what is in the list?? Even to
know numbers (how many are on the non priority list, how many are
done in an average day, etc) would be helpful in reassuring the
list members that it will happen before the deadline.
I found it very odd that a co-owner can't see the transfer
progress if that owner was not the one that paid the fee and
initiated the transfer request.? Has that been asked/mentioned in
beta?
