Well why not? Somehow an application from a potential member has been deleted and sending an invitation is a good way of remedying the situation.
All the members on my group were sent a LINK to join the group, no invites.

applicant so being sent a link would not seem to apply.

But (as above) is that relevant in this case? On the face of it sending the lost applicant an invitation is the best way of getting a measure of normality restored.

Admin > Invite on the tabs at the left hand side of your web UI and take it from there.
