I suspect that there are quite a lot of Groups.io Group Owners and Moderators who either do not share that view, or at least are perfectly happy to work within it.
It is more troublesome than Yahoo has been with its somewhat erratic performance, or even the fact that for most practical purposes it is now shutting down?
