Lynne; I am going to approach your query on the basis of a
strict interpretation of what you asked. You referred to
resize photos in photo section, and it has to be pointed out that changing the "resize" settings for photo uploads has
no impact on the size of photos that have already been uploaded. They remain occupying exactly the same amount of storage as they did before the change was made.
There is a way around this, which while not difficult is
very time consuming to do properly. To resize an existing overlarge photo it has to be downloaded, and then uploaded again with the new resizing setting. The catch is that in so doing the original attribution of the photo to whoever originally uploaded it is lost and it becomes attributed to whoever downloaded and then uploaded it again; it is possible to reassign it to its originator but that is the stage that can be extremely time - consuming and tedious.
Unless I have missed something (never impossible!) other respondents have provided answers that are correct for new uploads but did not address the issue of existing material.
