Any member of a group can post, unless the group is an announcement group. Owners can always post.
If you can't post, you must be using your wrong email address to try to log into your group or email your group. Your email address is your account ID.

It occurs to me that perhaps you haven't fully set up your Groups.io group - see this on Settings -?/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Quick-Start-for-Group-Formation
