They get sent out to the group again, so I only choose those
that have enough value for future use to move.

You can prevent the resend by creating a hashtag with the No Email property, and appending that to the subject line of the messages as you copy them over.

What you call the hashtag is up to you. You could name it something that indicates the origin of the message, like #FromYahoo, that would also serve the purpose of distinguishing these messages from new ones.
