Shal,
The majority of our group is in the "over 50" range and a high percentage have never done much in the way of the kind of interaction a group/listserv operates.
When they receive a reject they aren't trained to do diagnosis. ?"I can't get in" or "the system won't let me in" or some other non-specific ?complaint is sent to the owner/moderator.
One often must take the lead and simply ask questions and describing the diagnostic process so they cooperate.
In the days before semiconductors, yea in the days of punched cards, mag tape and and PKDumps, remote diagnosis took a lot of patience and asking simple questions.
