I don't get daily summaries myself, so this is a bit second hand. In a
group I moderate I am informed that in the daily summaries the sender's
email address appears obscured.
Interesting. They don't seem to be obscured in the digests I get from the beta@ group (or this one).
Unless what your member means is the poster's name, which appears after From: at the top of each message in the digest.
However, if it is copied and pasted into another (non groups.io)
forum the entire email address is pasted. ... Is this indeed an
issue, and if so, can it be fixed?
If he/she's talking about the From: name, then no. Or not easily. That name is used as a mailto: link so that the reader can reply directly to the poster of that particular message. It is the same as the "Reply To Sender" link at the bottom of each message.
I suppose Mark could make the From: name just text, given that the link is duplicated below, but I suspect a lot of users have gotten used to it and would complain.
