With Roadrunner email (Spectrum cable), they don't even tell you that
they filter your spam before they send it to you. I use a third party
email program (forte Agent) to receive my RR email. (Few use their
webmail and most subscribers aren't even aware that you get several
email addresses for free.) I was missing some emails that I suspected
I should be receiving and did some searching and found that I can set
their filter up to mark it as spam if it thinks it is but send it on
anyway for me to decide. Their filter wasn't very good, and neither is
Yahoo's from what I've seen for their groups. (The recommendation in
Yahoo's GMF is to turn off the spam filter for groups.)
The one that has given me the least trouble by far is Apple. I use their Mail.app and I probably three junk or spam emails get through to my inbox per month and I _never_ get emails from anyone telling me I haven¡¯t answered their emails.
