Re: Weird Behavior when Viewing Members Info - email flashes on the screen, then is replace with mine

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

This same situation started to happen to me yesterday. I¡¯m not doing anything different than the past year, yet when I ¡®click¡¯ on a member instead of getting all the data on that member, I get a screen that DOES show all the info BUT the screen automatically put in MY email address.? I then have to CHANGE the incorrect (my email) back to the correct one for that member and do a save.? I¡¯m assuming this has something to do with a recent ¡®change¡¯ to the groups.io structure.

I am using Chrome, windows 10, and am a premium member.

Cindy,

?

?

I know this sounds odd, but here's' what's happening.? I go to Admin - Members to view all members.? I click on one member (any of them), their email flashes on the screen briefly, then is replaced by mine.

?

Yours must be a Premium group, as otherwise the member's Email address would not be editable.

?

Is it possible that your browser is trying to auto-fill that box for you, because it is labelled as an Email field?

?

?

?

?

If I click save, it tries to save my email address, and I get a message that it's already in use.

?

That's good. At least you're not accidentally changing the member's email address to yours. It could have been a real mess if it had initiated a merge of the member's account into yours.

?

?

?

I was just getting ready to get all our members subscribed, but I'd like to wait until I have a resolution to this.?

?

You could try a different browser, at least temporarily, as a check of my browser auto-fill idea. If your browser offers any controls over the auto-fill feature, especially a way to turn it off for a given control, page, or site that might be another way to check for it.

?

If you have any password managers or other plug-ins that might try to auto-fill for you that would be another thing to check.
