Is there a way we can control when a member goes on hold?I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "on hold", but if you're referring to group messages being sent to them by email the only thing you can do is change a group setting so that no one can choose "No Email" (check the Disable No Email box, in the Message Policies section). The member can still choose Special Notices Only, or one of the other Email Delivery options though. Myself, I think attempting to force or require that members receive email from the group is futile (and ultimately makes the group management seem foolish and/or overbearing). The member can always set a filter in their email service, and there's not a thing the group management can do about that.
