Big question is the new subject totally far out from the original or somehow tied to the original subject.
Gradually drifting off-topic I can tolerate. What I'm talking about is posting something totally unrelated to the subject line.

A suggestion would be to delete the post and notify the sender to resubmit it with a new subject line. Would that work?
It would work if the group was moderated...but that would be punishing everyone for the transgressions of a few.

Back to my original question: "Does anyone has a good member notice written up to discourage this behavior?"

I'm looking for a gently-worded warning about what thread hijacking is and why it is bad that I can send to them before?taking the next step (i.e.: putting that individual on moderation).

Thanks,
