what happens when you reach the 1 GB limit (unlikely as that sounds [!])?
MisterWrite --?You and your subscribers will find yourselves unable to upload any more files or photos.?As Sarah noted, attachments also count against your allocation, but there is a group setting (Admin>Settings>Message Policies>Out of Space) that you can use to auto-delete the oldest attachments when you get to that point.

If you WANT to stay on the free plan, would you have to delete certain (I would imagine it would be past topics/discussions) in order to free up more space (that is IF you don¡¯t want to partake in any of the paid plans/subscriptions)?
Groups.io will not force you to delete anything, but no one will be able to add new content until you do.

The wiki here in GMF contains a lot of information on this and other Frequently Asked Questions. See

/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Deleting%20attachments,%20files%20and%20photos?and
/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Managing-Attachments%2C-Files-and-Photos

for more details.

Hope this helps,
Bruce
