Click on the filter icon (funnel shape) to the right of the search button. Then click the Any Time button and select Custom Range...

If in your Account Preferences you've selected a Date Display other than MM/DD/YYYY then the entry of a custom date range will be ... finicky. I haven't exactly worked out what the deal is, whether it matters if you edit the text or use the calendar drop-down, for example, but I often as not get no results when I have my preferred Date Display of YYYY-MM-DD.

I reported this to support once long ago, and I thought it got fixed. Maybe I didn't test well enough, or maybe it has reverted.
