Prasad,
Actually there are two members most vocal in preventing the transfer. So I guess what you, the group owner(s), have to decide is whether their concerns, and the probable loss of their continued participation, outweighs the risk of staying on Yahoo's platform in the face of its continued deterioration and the possibility that it may be abruptly shut down. There are of course other platforms you could move to, particularly since you are willing to pay for the group's operation, but none that I've ever heard of that offers anything like the Easy Group Transfer option for copying your content to the new platform. And of course, in terms of political agendas, the others may as bad or worse - just better at keeping it to themselves. So there may be a factor of "better the devil you know" since Mark is remarkably open about his position on things if you choose to follow his Twitter feed. I am not concerned how money gets spent.I'm not currently running any Premium groups (my PTA group periodically goes Premium for a month, but that isn't a big deal) so I don't face that question directly. Nevertheless I think that my attitude would be similar. I understand the argument about standing on principle, but for better or worse there's more to my life than other people's political agendas. I am concerned that this objection is creating a hurdle in this move. The only way I can think of to address this directly is to suggest to Groups.io that the transfer offer a feature to exclude a list of Y!group member addresses during the transfer. No harm in asking, but I don't know that you can count on prompt implementation given all the other "asks" on his plate.
