I need to send a message to our group, but I need two of our members to not receive the email as it is about a surprise anniversary recognition for them.? Is this possible?
Yes, but it's a bit of trouble.?
Open each subscriber's member record (Admin>Members) and note their Email Delivery preference. Temporarily set it to No Email. Send the message, then set them both back.
Note the following:
-- Any other messages sent to the group in the interim will also fail to be sent to these folks. I wouldn't delay very long in changing their settings back.
-- Your post will still appear in the message archive. If either of them reads messages online, then your efforts will be in vain.
-- Any reply to the group could also tip them off. I suggest you tag your post announcing the surprise party with a hashtag that has the locked or moderated checkbox set.
Even then, any well-meaning group member who happens to change the subject line could inadvertently let the cat out of the bag.
?
Good luck,
Bruce
