Tom -- Unfortunately, the groups.io wiki editor strips many inline styles. Equally unfathomable, deprecated, non-CSS constructs like <table border="1"> and <img align="right"> seem to survive the edit/save process.

I was told some months ago that groups.io itself uses the bootstrap.css style sheet (found in the files area here) in some manner; but even then, the classes I've pulled from there and tried to apply to wiki pages have been very hit-and-miss.

If you do figure out what's going on please report back.
