Michael, I am having trouble with one of my members email.? they can receive emails but they can not send emails.? they keep getting bounced when they reply. Have a look at the Activity Log for your group, you may be able to spot "tried to send" entries corresponding to the member's failed attempts. That's assuming that the member got the group's posting address right, which should be the case if they are actually replying (and your group is set to Reply to Group). As Jim said, sending from the wrong address or sending to the wrong address are the most common errors. In the case of sending From the wrong address, you'll see an activity log entry like "Non-member [address] attempted to send message "[subject]" via email". Tell the member that he/she must send from the address subscribed to your group - that address will appear at the bottom of the footer of each email he/she receives from the group. You may find log entries citing other causes. Hopefully the log entry is clear enough for you to figure out what to do. If not, feel free to post the entry here. In the case of sending To the wrong address there won't be any log entries, so you'll have to rely on Jim's technique of having the member CC you (your address, not the group's) next time he/she attempts to post or reply to the group. Careful checking of the To field in that copy should reveal the problem. Shal -- Help: /static/help More Help: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Even More Help: Search button at the top of Messages list |
