If the 'Allow Non Subscribers to Post' option is required and messages are moderated, then 'Allow Parent Subscribers to Post' on its own seems to serve no purpose as it stands.
At best, these two checkboxes are labelled incorrectly. It was my understanding that the first checkbox already "allows" messages, the second is (supposed to) affect only moderation.?
Anyway, I tried the same thing as Andy did in my group(s), with a hashtag set up so my test messages didn't get emailed. With a Subscriber account of the parent group only, and these checkboxes checked in the subgroup, I was able to successfully post to the subgroup...both by email and online.
However, now the Privacy setting seems to be broken. Previously, I permitted main-group members to read the subgroup message archive. Now, if I try to do that with the same Subscriber account mentioned previously (same one I posted with), I get an error message along these lines:
template: messagelib.html:344:27: executing "DisplayMessageFooter" at <.Sub.FullName>: can't evaluate field FullName in type interface {}
Something weird is definitely?going on with this new feature.
