... or simply knowing that you log into a certain Groups.io might
trigger certain Google ads.
They might know you logged in to Groups.io, but they wouldn't know which group(s) you visited while there.

Because I use Gmail Google "knows" not only which groups I get messages from, but the content of those messages. But that's because of the email, I've never logged in to Groups.io using Facebook or Google.
