Our group has a 1GB storage limit which can max out quickly due to large photo attachments. Many folks will upload huge images without giving any thought to storage. Consider having groups.io rescale them for you. See Admin>Settings>Photos. I've found that 1024 pixels on the long dimension is more than adequate for online viewing, and many groups get along fine with 488. Subscribers with a real need to share print-quality images can always upload them to cloud storage and send a link instead. The only way I have found to delete attachments is by the route Admin > +Upgrade > View Attachments, selecting the email and deleting it.You can also delete photo attachments directly from the Emailed Photos folder. Be sure to refresh the screen (CTRL-F5) between deletions. Please note that no matter how you do it, deleting an attachment sends a notification to the original post-er that you have subsequently edited their message. The associated message will also display a "edited" tag in the message archive. Then I have to start all over again - a one by one process which is very time consuming. There is no such feature, but you could try the following: In Admin>Settings>Message Policies>Out of Space, be sure "Delete Old Attachments" is selected. Upload (or email) a big file that puts you over quota. Wait for groups.io to delete the older attachments. [Note:? This does not happen in real time. I have no idea how long it might take.] Delete the big file, thereby freeing the space. I don't know of anyone who has done this, but if it doesn't work, then I'd have to say there's something very peculiar going on with how groups.io manages storage.? I have noticed that there appears to be some "grace storage." Roughly 1.4 GB seems to be the actual cutoff, at which point Basic groups will no longer accept further uploads. Perhaps the extra 400 MB is a buffer to keep your group going until groups.io actually gets around to trimming off the old stuff. But that's total speculation on my part. We have the basic plan, so perhaps this feature comes with an upgraded plan.Unfortunately, no. The only thing Premium does is give you more space, thus delaying the inevitable. I hope something in here helps. Bruce -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |
