Re: Thread issue

I actually like the thread narrow response.? If I have been following the thread, I read the next message and understand how and where it fits in the fabric of the discussion.? If I dont understand and have an interest, I log in and select all messages in the thread and just read thru to the point that my interest is satisfied. Some times all of it, some times, I lose interest at the first message in the thread and return to the next email in my inbox.

Hi,

Been using the groups for a good few months now and am loving it but still getting to grips with certain parts of it.

One issue that has recently raised it's head is that of threads.

If a message is view via the web front end, then for the replies, it only displays the message the sender has actually added to the previous message.

If someone posts a response, through the web front end, then the messager it sends out, is what that person has just typed. It excludes the rest of the thread.

This is all fine and dandy online, but for all those people that use email software, they just end up getting a message without the full history of that email.

Is there a way to change it so that whenever anyone responds to a message online that it automatically includes the full message with it?

I know there is the 'quote whole post' button but if the sender forgets or just cannot be bothered to use it, then it ruins it for everyone else.
Is there perhaps a way of setting this on by default?

I hope i have explained this clearly

Thanks for any advice you may be able to give.

Cheers
Alexis
