Re: UNABLE TO EDIT FILES ON THE IO FILE PAGE #howto

I¡¯m a Mac and Safari user too, that is not the problem.

The problem is that the ¡®replace¡¯ icon is misidentified as as ¡®edit¡¯ icon which implies the current files is edited in place.

I had a problem today while trying to edit an item in the 'Files' section of my IO Group.

There are icons there for editing, moving, deleting, and reporting each file in that section.

I needed to update a particular file but clicking on 'edit' next to the file only opens a card
showing the following:

a] A blank field with a 'BROWSE' button (but that take me to my Mac's Finder list.
b] a field containng the 'FILE NME'
c] a field containing the 'DESCRIPTION;
d] at the bottom, two buttons: 'CANCEL' and 'UPDATE' ¨Cboth of which took me back to the files list!

I could click on the name of any file in the list but that only downloaded the file to my (MacBook Pro)
desktop 'as is' which isn't an update. (The same seems to be the case for all the other things in my file
list: Those buttons don't seem to work; I can only click on a file's title and download it.)

So my question is: Why doesn't the 'edit' button next to a file not allow one to update the file? The file
in question in this instance was a MS .docx file. Or could it be a problem with Safari (vers. 11.0.3)? And,
BTW, pausing AdBlock doesn't help here, as doing so at times does.

But, since perhaps I am overlooking something that's part of the process of an editing a file, any suggestions
or explanation for how to do so from the files page accessed from a Group.io's sidebar button would be very
much appreciated.
