I have no idea what has happened but after sending an email to the
support desk (no reply by the way) I received an email overnight
stating that the transfer has gone through. So head scratching time,
however it now appears that everything is ok.
Ok, well I'm glad to hear that worked out for you.

So the question I ask now is what page is shown after you press the
green button to continue the transfer?
Not sure why you need to know, or which green button you would still be seeing, but I've added screenshots to our Wiki page to illustrate the process from beginning to end:
