If all else fails, you can set up a home computer with the
software Thunderbird, and program it to forward messages from the
group to your phone.
It can be done, I have done it, it works.
I have Mediacom for an internet service provider.
I have Thunderbird programmed to go to Mediacom every 60 seconds
to check for incoming email.
It downloads the email messages to my computer.
I have filters on my incoming email that sorts it and puts it
into whichever folder is appropriate.
I also have a filter that says, that if a message comes from one
certain address, (the address of a group) to forward it to another
address, which is the email address of my phone.
Notice I said? "email address of my phone" not to my phone number
like a text message.
Every phone has an email address, you might have to contact your
phone carrier to get it, but your phone has one.
Works slick as can be.
Only disadvantage for me is having to leave a computer on at home
all the time.
Small price to pay.

Is there a way to
have two different email addresses link to one account?
so I can get it on my cell phone and my home email account?
I was hoping that I could get an email from a group to both
accounts.
Thanks
