Janet, I have a member who went through the automatic unsub process and clicked the link to get back into the group.? Since then, though, she's not getting many messages ... Sounds like the behavior of a spam filter. She should check the webmail interface of her email service provider to see if more messages have been diverted to her Spam folder. If any are found there mark them as "Not Spam". ... and those that she is getting have no footer.? Except that bit. Even if someone in the group is sending direct messages to her (via the site) I think there is still a minimal footer. Are these footer-less messages replies to something she posted? It is possible that your group is set to reply to? Group and Sender or that some members are using Reply All in their email interface.
