I have 2 members on one of my groups who have addresses at "icloud.com" They are the only 2 addresses at this domain on any of my lists. Both of them began bouncing on November 1 with the error message:
550 5.7.1 [CS01] Message rejected due to local policy. Please visit
This seems to indicate there is some issue with groups.io that iCloud doesn't like. Is there anything I can do?
The page at the above link is aimed at bulk senders of the shady variety. iCloud is confusing Gio with senders of unsolicited bulk mail... aka spam. It's not Gio's problem; it's iCloud's problem.
Two potential solutions...
1) Your subscribers should complain to iCloud - via phone if possible, but also via email. They should complain to postmaster@... and abuse@... and tell them that Gio is a subscription mailing list service like YahooGroups, email by subscription only, no spam.
2) Groups.io should tell them the same. Based on some experience manning an abuse desk part time, they'll probably pay more attention to Gio than to your two subscribers.
