What goes in the alias field is an alternate posting address - Groups.io will accept messages from that address as if they came from the member's subscribed address. subscription at = 334@... The simplest thing to do would be for her to change her account email address to the gmail address. Then receiving there and sending from there would work naturally. But that somewhat depends on why she has that forwarding set up in the first place:

In which case adding her gmail address as the alias should allow her to post from the gmail address while continuing to receive messages forwarded through her subscribed address.
