¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello again Shal
THANKS also for the specific heads up info and advice.? Much appreciated !! Perhaps that software glitch via Mark F was the "INVITE fail issue earlier today (Wednesday) . I just gave up and sent my member a standard personal email 'heads up" of the issue and my suggestions.? And Phone Called him also.
I truly APPRECIATE the feedback from you and the other member-responses to my message -- thank you all !
Perhaps if you wonder what my "NYC Transit Modelers Group"? is about - check out my NY CITY?MODEL TRANSIT SYSTEM (operating Layout)? FLICKR PHOTOS WEBSITE site to see some amazing hand built scale modeling work I do -- link below? (also see and check the 'ALBUMS' & 'FAVORITES' tab links on the page header)?
And "this" is what a number of other members of my NYC Transit Modelers Group (forum) also do in various model scales of N, HO, O, S and 1/2" model railroad scales.? Since we started the group back in 2001. And they have their own photo albums on our NYCTMG Group ALBUMS page.

Joe,
?> ... I just joined Groups Managers Forum and found this already -- ?> seems its a big problem ... It is an on-going problem with certain email services. Members using those services need to be vigilant, that's about all we can suggest. As to the points you raised with support, (a) I don't see why sending the former member an Invite didn't work. I know of at least one group owner who routinely uses Direct Add to put the removed members back. Maybe your case had something to do with the general site issues that cropped up last night. (b) Maybe also the site problems, but maybe by "register" he tried to sign up for a new Groups.io account (rather than just re-join your group). His account would not have been removed, only the subscription to your group. ?> ... and a Retribution Nuisance NASTY caused by Verizon/OATH towards ?> Groups.io for all the groups leaving Yahoo (as I did) for groups.io. I really don't think the FBL issue has anything to do with groups migrating to Groups.io, or with Groups.io at all. I really don't think anyone at Verizon/Oath is paying enough attention to Yahoo Groups to have even noticed. But that's just my opinion. Note too that some of the email services on our list of troublesome services aren't owned by Verizon. ?> Mainly to Yahoo or AOL email users to DO NOT sign the "OATH PLEDGE for > T.O.S. (terms of service) I think ultimately you either go with it, or you stop using their services. I'm still using Yahoo Groups so I've accepted the new TOS, but that's a personal choice. ?> I sent a private email to my affected member alerting him to look for ?> a RESUB email from Groups.io to respond to within 3 days. Good, hopefully he will. Shal -- Help: /static/help More Help: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Even More Help: Search button at the top of Messages list |
