How do I move emailed photos from album titled
Emailed Photos
to an album titled
Mrs. Smiths' Photos?
The Emailed Photos folder is not like other albums...it's a repository for message attachments. As you've discovered, you cannot directly move these photos to another album, like you can with photos that have been uploaded. If you did, it would no longer be linked to the corresponding message.
So what can you do? Well, you can download the photo and subsequently upload it to another album. But the photo attributes (who "owns" it, when it originated, etc) will reflect the person who made these changes, not the person who originally posted it. Fortunately, you can reassign the photo back to "Mrs Smith,"* but it's another step in a multi-step process.
Such activity is also a copy, not a move; duplicating the amount of storage the photo takes up in your allocation. If you choose to delete the original, this is considered a message edit; and "Mrs Smith" will be notified that someone else has been messing around with her post. Her post will also subsequently display the "edited" badge in the message archive.
Bottom line:? It can certainly be done, but it's pretty cumbersome, and it has impacts that most folks do not anticipate.
Hope this helps,
Bruce
