I would like to keep the ability to approve a message from a non-subscriber without adding the person to the group. You are right - it says approve the message and unmoderate. So that needs a rewording. Perhaps "Approve the message for non-member."

I see it would be helpful to have the other option - approve the message and add to the group. Or Approve the message and add as member.

I think it may be a bug that you're shown that button on a non-subscriber. Maybe there should be a different button for "Approve and add to group" or something, but "unmoderate" is the wrong function there.
Is there any way to add an address that can't receive email and allow them to post messages without moderation?
