It was your email service provider (which may or may not be the same as
your internet service provider) who rejected Groups.io as a sender.

I don't see any clue as to why. It looks like another unfortunate case
of a generic failure code and message where a specific one would be more
helpful.

Except that last one:
Jun 24 cloudy stripes 4.2.2 smtp; 452 4.2.2 Over quota
But it was a temporary error (4xy code) anyway, you should have received
that message, but perhaps late.
