Welcome back Adrian

Nancy Parr

I swear this is true. Last week I drove over to Trevor Wye's in
Hastingleigh
from my Mother's in Deal, Kent. I drove thru Bridge, nr Canterbury...and
where Mozart stayed on his return from London when he was six...and had
just
written his first symphony. I went thru "Pett Bottom"...<<GGG>> and the
next place was called "Lynsore Bottom".........maybe petted it a bit too
much!!

Of course the first place may be a corruption of "Pettway Bottom"........

And I just drove back through Lincoln Massachusetts, past the sign for
Walden Pond, thinking of you. Rachel and I still consider the Opera
Flutastic and our meeting as a highlight adventure.

It is great to have you back!

Nancy

Wicked Uncle Adrian,

That last post about Lynsore Bottom and Pettway Bottom lead me to
believe you've returned to this outlet for your naughtiness not a moment
too soon!

Robin.

Welcome backe, Adrian! Newcomers must, by now, at least partially
understand the "wicked" bit. (teehee)

I heard about that Bill Gates weekend in Alaska. Some arrived on large
yachts and did some plugging up of the Prince Rupert Harbour before the
last short leg to Juneau.

Which brings me to dogs. Allergic to dogs!!!You poor people! Though I
realize this is a matter of individual taste. I used to have a
beautiful black lab named Juneau . She was such a lovely, friendly and
gentle dog, and to think, I found her as an emaciated stray!

Today is the first day of school and the new job. Another summer bites
the dust. Sigh. Oh well, the mornings are getting just too cool and
dawn has edged forward to the early working part of the day now so I may
as well spend it at work. Actually, I'm looking forward, with some
trepidation, to this new job with its new challenges.

Robin.

Hi all!
Thank you,O Fearless Leader, for your kind praise! (blush..stop that ,
Bumbleclaw!) I wish to point out that there is a whopper of a misprint in
the very last sentence, though: it should read "if you do not TAME the
Diaphragm Monster", rather than what came out "take"....oh well.
Yes, I loved the whole issue as well, Andy! Well done that man!

Hmm, Adrian, I have been scanning the maps of Kent and although I found the
village of Pett, could not find your other newly discovered names..maybe
they only exist on the signposts!<G> (Adrian had written to me about some
place called Lynsorebottom???!)

Mind you, after an hour of attempting to brush tangled grass seed outof the
Bumblebee, I reckon I could easily rename my house as "Lynbloody"....!<G>

Oh Nancy, so sorry to hear about your beloved ex kittymate in London..such a
sad surprise to get.. But Max, what a gem that silly Soliloquy is!
Lynn H, I couldn't stop giggling: your DOG is allergic to cats??!!

Cheers! Lyn McLarin

Glen, I would seriously ask Val what she's been sprinkling on your Weetabix
<GG>
I'll pass on your idea for volume 33, Trevor will be amused.

Welcome back Adrian

Hello Adrian -

I've come out of lurk mode to welcome you back! Its always good to hear about all the stars you "hob-nob" with!!

The latest news from this part of the world is that I've finally moved to Scotland full time - the weather's been pretty dreary since we arrived, but at least its not cold (yet! - no heating remember!)

Not done much fluting this week - blocked ear - cold I think - makes all the sounds echo in my head - yuk!

Thanks for your kind words. If you have already seen "What dreams may come"
then I expect you heard it with the Morricone score which was thrown out!
I daresay you know that movies are "previewed" to gain some audience feedback
and sometimes the plots are changed...they even make two or sometimes three
versions to see which is most popular with audiences. >>

Adrian--

I didn't mean I had seen the movie, I should have explained I meant I had
seen the promos for the movie. I don't know what the score snippets were...
