I had listened to the playback of your piece and at first puzzled how it could be so technically perfect ?while being totally uninflected in terms of rhythm & dynamics, but then realized that it must have been played by a sampler from a
midi file. That certainly leaves room for someone else to interpret! I will see if I can record something clean enough to send you.
As to pieces that start with an abstraction and then work towards thematic material, I would offer two examples:
