shake thinner and kraut juice

silouan22

There seems to be agreement that CC needs thinning, especially to make a shake. Milk is
the most frequent suggestion although water has also been mentioned. Since I make my
own CC I have a lot of whey, and it seems logical to add that, which I do since it contains
some soured protein and other nutrients. How would it compare with milk in nutricianal
value?

Is it likely Dr.Budwig would have recommended 8 oz of sauerkraut juice morning and
evening? That is a lot of juice. My home-made kraut goes dry drinking only a quarter of a
cup, or less, just in the morning.

thanks,

Jim, making soured cabbage juice is so quick and easy that there is
never a good reason to run out of it. Check the files for the recipe.
It takes 3 days the first time to make the juice, but after that,
because you use some of the original soured cabbage juice, you can have
a new batch ready in 24 hours.

I started about a gallon-and-a-half of soured cabbage juice early this
afternoon. It will be ready by Friday or Saturday, and after that, I
don't expect to allow myself to run out again.

I am convinced, from all I've read, that drinking 8 to 16 ounces of
soured cabbage juice daily is one of the best AND cheapest things a
person can do for generaly health and for protection from cancer or to
help fight cancer.

Jim,
the seeming agreement that fo/cc needs thinning came from Dr. Budwig's instructions.
She never mentioned anything about a shake or a smoothie. Perhaps liquefying the M¨¹sli
and gulping it down is not the same as eating it?

Dr. Budwig's recipes always turned fo/cc foods such as M¨¹sli into a thick consistency.
In other words, they needed chewing. Perhaps she found chewing to be important?

Dr. Budwig always referred to milk as a thinner for fo/cc. The difference in nutritional
value between liquid whey and milk is in rough terms is this: Milk contains more protein,
and whey contains more minerals.

I think it is best to stick to what Dr. Budwig said. However, if I for some reason were to
use whey as a thinner, I would use an extra tblsp CC to make for the lack of protein in
the whey.

Dr. Budwig referred to a glass of sauerkraut juice in the morning, not in the evening.
She did not identify the size of glass. It could have been a 6, 7 or 8 oz glass.
