Curcumin or Turmeric

Alex
The curcumin that Swanson and Life Extension sells is an extract of turmeric
that is standardized to contain 95% total curcuminoids. It is the curcuminoids
that are believed to be the effective part of turmeric. I think you are
buying plain ground up turmeric which is very inexpensive. However if it worked for
your wife and your patients that's wonderful.

Dear Terry and Ksenjia,

With 10 dollars you can get un kilo (1000 grams or approximately 1300

capsules) of curcumin. Black Pepper cost 5 dollars enough for 1000

capsules and one number 3 capsules box with 1000 empty capsules cost 12

dollars. Make your homework that’s the reason we are making our own

curcumin. We cannot afford to make rich some health food companies

Re: help on lymph nodes

Hi Rich,

first of all pls try to relax even if it seems very hard... I have read in various places that cancer patients realize "after the event" that there was no real need to hurry any decisions, it is only their doctors who make it appear so and who put the pressure on them... so it is very likely that both you and she do have time to think and learn before deciding on any one course of action ... and bravo for immediately putting her on the Budwig protocol!!!, just make sure, in case you haven't done so yet, to follow the instructions very carefully by studying the Files section of this group...

Concerning the treatment options offered by her doctor, read (and ask her to read) for instance "For Anyone Thinking Of Having Mainstream Treatment" on www.healingcancernaturally.com/why_alternatives5.html, and the discussions of "Choosing an alternative cancer healing protocol", "Breast cancer treatment advice" and "Breast cancer: does mastectomy/lumpectomy 'cure cancer'?" on www.healingcancernaturally.com/testimonials2.html ...

And perhaps most importantly right now, educate her about the extremely real risk of developing lymphedema after taking out lymph nodes, lymphedema can become a living hell on earth for those affected... "www.healingcancernaturally.com/why_alternatives3.html#Possible side effects" (pls paste in this whole line including "Possible side effects")

Re your note that "some people are hard to get to belive in something they havent heard of before", there is an article at www.healingcancernaturally.com/why_alternatives4.html "Why even very ill and suffering people - in spite of mainstream therapy failing to help them - may ridicule, reject, and attack medical alternatives in cancer treatment" which addresses many points likely to play a role in such attitudes...

You will find this flaxoil2 group very knowledgeable and supportive and I believe you have made an excellent choice by starting her on the Budwig protocol.

All the best,

Ulla

Max,
you have been sceptical in many of your past posts - a regular doubting Thomas - lol.

If you know what healthy diet to replace the Budwig Diet with you may be fine. Most people don't know. They don't or won't even use the proper Budwig Protocol in the first place. Of course if a person is healthy and if that person is using a truly healthy diet and lifestyle, things will likely be great and guard against degenerative health. If a person has come down with cancer however, the rules change. A much greater concentration on diet and lifestyle is then required to turn things around.

But I will tell you what - you change your diet to what you think is right and then let us know how you are doing... there is a catch to it though... from what I remember you don't have cancer, so it is not the greatest experiment in your case.

Stay well,
Wilhelm

But why not go to any other healthy diet. It need not be the
Budwig diet.
Max

Terry,
Try this: take one, two or three grams of curcumin with an empty stomach and start to feel the burning
There are several writings on curcumin and toxicity is nil, and for my wife is a godsend, she was able to work again after spending 6 months on a wheel chair without movement, talking, thinking or living. Right now she drives daily (8 continuous hours ) a pickup, controls all the people under her command and show them how to do things the right way. Really amazing!
And if you order some curcumin from us, you will be helping us to help others!

Thanks much for your prompt reply. Life Extension also recommends
taking their product with food. The reason I asked relates to the
following I saw on a physician's site who advocates hormone blockade
along with certain complementary supplements:

"The owner of the company that makes this product recommends that men
with prostate cancer be treated with two capsules three times per day
on an empty stomach, although the literature that I received
recommended taking it with a heavy meal. The owner of the company is
aware of this, and states that the recommendation to take it with food
is not correct, that it should be taken on an empty stomach. The good
news is that it is inexpensive; 60 capsules cost only about $15.00.
The product can be ordered by calling (888) 852-4993. The name of the
company is Natural Health Consultants."

This is an Orthopedia Surgeon from San Francisco

chemo or radiation, but with alternative therapy,
of improving the immune system through diet,
light exercise, sunshine and cleansing. I saw
her on television not long ago. She has pictures
of her breast tumor. It was so large you could
see it easily. She did not have a mastectomy but
had some of the lump removed since it 'stuck out'
but didn't remove the whole thing.

She said traditional cancer treatment is like
blowing up a house with a bomb in order to kill
the roaches in it. Roaches are gone but so is
house. You might find her interesting since she
is a doctor and not just scientist or lay person.

She wrote some books on healing and on her
experience and has a website too.

Re: help on lymph nodes

Rich,

Show your sister the testimonials in our files. They are listed by type of cancer or location of the tumor, i.e. Breast Cancer and Non Hodgkin's for lymph nodes. You will also find other info on the Budwig method there. Good for you that you have your sister started on fo/cc. What about freshly ground flaxseeds and the rest of the Budwig Protocol? What about Eldi Oils. You will find all of that in our files.

Wilhelm

Re: OT---swelling and weakness in arm after blood test--help p...

Wilhelm Hansen

It would not work instantaneously, you have to digest and absorb it first, but depending on how much you eat, I would expect rather quick results.

I don't know what the swelling in your arm is about, if the pills give you that quick remedy, fine but I would wean myself off them and make a gradual switch to natural food.

To get an idea what 100 gram of food contain...
Kale or Swiss Chard contain about 800 mcg vit.K,
Parsley 500 mcg,
Brussels Sprouts or Spinach 400 mcg,
Broccoli, Endive, deep green Lettuce 250 mcg,
etc.

Compare that to the level in your pills, and keep in mind that natural is better quality and one would likely require less for the same effect.

Re: OT---swelling and weakness in arm after blood test--help p...

Wilhelm Hansen

BarbF,
Rick Muenzer used to post informative messages on vitamin K. You will find them in the archives if you are interested, but there are many good websites on it too.

The reason I said to get it from deep green vegetables rather than from pills has a number of reasons. It is always better to get your nutrients from food. For instance you can overdose on vitamin K pills (I am going by memory now) and not on vit.K from foods. Fresh organic green vegetables give you a world of other goodies. The osteoporosis that you want to guard against with your pills is also guarded against with foods. And in addition you are getting high quality calcium/magnesium and other minerals with it. If you consider the very high level of vit.K in Kale for example, as well as the minerals, vit. A,B,C, etc. you would wonder why pills instead of food? In any case, if you do the Budwig Diet, you have to get away from thinking pills and switch to natural. It is VERY IMPORTANT. Every bit helps.

Best to you,
Wilhelm

What you need is vitamin K which is the natural blood clotting agent. Get

Wilhelm...I take a vitamin K supplement as well as lots of green vegies as
you suggest. I am curious as to why you suggest to avoid vitamin K pills. I
take it mostly for bone health -- am on Arimidex, which pretty much shuts down
estrogen production and am trying to avoid osteporosis (sp?).

Re: help on lymph nodes

rickmuenzer

Hi Rich

I remember reading that lymph nodes themselves can't be cancerous just
as cancer of the heart is impossible. The lymph system is an important
part of the immune system that helps evacuate toxins. Get the doctors
to make the claim that lymph glands themselves can have cancer and not
just contain the cancer passing through the lymph system. See if they
truly know and then ask them if heart cancer is possible. It's their
livelyhood and you might be seen as a threat to their income. Almost
for certain your sister will do what they say because taking
responsibility for ones own health is hard to do and very scary thanks
to 'doctors coachings'.

Best Luck

FlaxSeedOil is a mild blood thinner. I have had "bruise marks"
