WHAT ELSE CAN IT BE? CANCER OR NOT?

Dear Friends,

Today I saw the oncologist which was assigned to me by the military doctors on post (like they say the army pays for cheap shit).

After the oncologist reviewed the results of my PET scan he tells me, " I think you have lyphoma and not nasopharyngeal cancer."

He stated that it may not even be cancer that he has no clue . So he needs to biobspie the lymphnodes of my neck again ( which these tested inclonclusive in the past more than three times.) I am tierd of this mambo jambo... What else can it be if its not lymphoma and my lymphnodes are swollen?

Any Ideas???

Bori

Well, looks like my father's PSA continues to rise,
despite
the use of
a number of alernative treatments, as well as the
conventional stuff.
His PSA went up from 4.3 to 5.6 in one month's time. He
has been
taking a bunch of stuff including Flaxoil/Cottage chese,
as
well as 6
Prostasol per day for about two and a half months. It
seems
that his
PSA is not being controled. Can anyone suggest a protocol
that might
be effective with hormone refractory prostate cancer? The
oncologist
has scheduled him to get radiation treatment and resume
the
use of
casodex as well. and my father is eager to go through with
it. This
is his readings as I can recall.

PSA OCT 03 - 248 Mets to bones and lymphnodes
PSA FEB 04 - .2
PSA MAR 04 - 1.1
PSA APR 04 - 2.7
PSA MAY 04 - 4.0 (runs out the remaining casodex half way
through)
PSA JUN 04 - 4.3
PSA JUL 04 - 5.6

I'm not exactly sure if I'm mixing the "old" method of
reading with
the "new", but to my knowledge, it's the new.

Taking:
Hormone Blocker shots (assuming Zoladex)
Will resume Casodex
Zometa

4 tsp FO 3/4 cup CC
6 Prostasol
12 Transfer Factor Plus
9 Transfer Factor
2 150mg CoQ10's
1 200mcg Selenium
1 320mg Saw Palmetto
1 400IU Vitamin E
1 serving BarelyMax

Zapping about 1 Hour a day.

At this point, he is very reluctant to try any other
alternative
stuff, as he feels that it's not exactly helping. He
won't
even
discuss the topic with me, as he will say, "Let's see what
the doctors
want to do", which he's been telling me for several months
now. He
also tells me that he's taking too much pills, and will
not
try the
parasite cleanse recommended by Dr. Hulda Clark, even
though
I had
bought the products (Black Walnut Tinctiture, Wormwood
Capsules,
Cloves). If someone could please offer some words of
encouragment, or
some suggestions for treatment, I would sincerely
appreciate
it.

Thanks,
Clint

Re: Father's latest PSA...

Alex Torres

Clint,
It is really maddening when you see not response to natural treatments
for certain diseases. Prostatic cancer is one of them. Be sure that
using other "proved" strong medical treatments goes the same way BUT the
results are quite aggressive. Here at our place, we see that daily.
Something is not working with your father. I see the protocol adequate,
but the dosages are for HPB (hypertrophy prostate benign) not for
cancer. I know that your father is getting bored taking a lot of
capsules, but the dosages in "natural" supplements are really low, maybe
because the producers of this products are afraid to use big effective
doses.
You need to add to the protocol Curcumin at least 3 grams three times a
day accompanied with a black pepper capsule (each take).
Increase the dosage of concentrated palmetto saw (standardized, not the
berries) to 640 mg twice a day.
Are your father following the Budwig protocol or just taking Flax oil
and C.c.?
Zapping: Use a TENS apparatus with one electrode at the sacral zone and
the other on the pubis (sinfisis) start low stimulation for 20 seconds,
then increase to the strong stimulation (if your father supports it) for
at least 10 minutes. Use a paper towel wetted with water for good
contact.
I am pretty sure he will improve, and I guaranteed that using radiation
or chemo will accelerate his death. Here at our clinic we see lots of
patients with prostate cancer. some opt for chemo and radiation and we
saw them die not for the cancer but for the complications due to the
radiation: lymphatic edema (radiation destroys lymphatic circulation and
nodes).
We had a patient that his testicles were the size of big melons , he
followed our indications: DIET IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART FOR THE
TREATMENT OF THIS DISEASE AND IT IS OVERLOOKED!
He was eating only vegetables, electrotherapy, ozone i.v. every other
day, curcumin and the testicles were normal IN THREE DAYS! He followed
my orders for 5 months. he was tired (as your father) of eating just
vegetables, and asked me for some meat I said o.k. eat just a little
piece of chicken (organic) meat.
He went to the taqueria (place where tacos are sold) and ate 10 pork
tacos, 10 beef tacos and one 2 litter Coke.
In two days (eating, well not eating, engulfing) with this "diet" his
testicles were as melons, and he said: "Doctor, I am afraid I prefer eat
the food I like, and die instead of be on this diet and treatment. REST
IN PEACE!

I was told that we must eat according to our blood type.

O Types: Can eat meat, fish, most vegetables and most fruit. They
should avoid wheat. Starchy vegetables such as corn, dairy food and
oranges.

I know a lot of people will say that this is not research based, but I
have experimented throughout the years. I was a vegetarian for a while,
then I did macrobiotics, etc. In my search for what made me feel better,
I found that the type O diet above was best for me. I felt so much
better on it. If I eat wheat, my eyelids get puffy and I get pains in
the joints of my hands. I avoid corn and wheat, but I do have an orange
now and then. The only diary that I have is my cottage cheese with my
flaxseed oil.

2 T. of freshly ground seeds each morning. I also chop up about an inch
of ginger root into little pieces and add that. So far, so good.

I haqve a new hormone blocker which I have forgotten the name of. It
consist of two injections in the stomach area. It is not either of
those you mentioned. I get those every 4 months. I investigated
glyconutrients however the product most advertised is "Ambrotose" and
far beyond my ability to buy because it is expensive. I have
researched the glyconutrients that it is composed of and i also bought
the book that describes the 8 essential glyconutrients. I have found
sources for most of these individually at much less cost. I also take
"D. I. M." a chemical derived from broccoli that supposedly inhibits
cancer. I add Turmeric and ginger to my focc. Both of these are well
documented as inhitors of cancer. I also add ground flax seed to the
focc along with ground brown rice.
Thanks for your inquiry and I hope all is well with you.

You mention hormone blockage. Is it Casodex and Lupron combnation.

cancer diagnosed as the most agressive kind which has spread beyond
the prostate. 12 biosy needles with 12 positives. I changed diet and
went on focc soon after learning what I had. I understand medicare
will only pay for one cat scan a year so I have no way of knowing
what
is going on except my well being has drastically improved in many
ways. My prostate has shrunk to near normal. Whether or not this is
from the hormone treatments or focc or a combination of both I do
not
know. My health continues to improve. I have been using focc since
october 2003.

I
would like to ask the group if the majority of you are, in fact,
battling a disease or do you take flaxseed oil as a preventive
measure? Personally, I'm convinced of the efficacy of Essential
Fatty Acids to protect us from a variety of ailments and I use it
for
that purpose (in my case, mild arthritis).

The reason I ask is this: I participate on a discussion board
where
melanoma patients of every "stage" post their treatments--the vast
majority of which involve conventional medicine (radiation, drugs
and
surgery). I mentioned that I had read quite a bit about Johanna
Budwig's alleged cure for a variety of ailments, including cancer.
Since the "treatment" is innocuous and involves a nutrient (EFA)
we
need anyway, why not incorporate the Budwig Diet with the view
that "it can't hurt and might help, so why not?"

Well, you'd have thought I asked them to dance naked in Times
Square
as part of their treatment. On a conventional discussion board,
you're practically drawn and quartered for endorsing (or even
suggesting) anything other than pharmaceuticals, surgery or
radiation, it appears, but that particular board is dedicated to
melanoma (my particular focus), so I continue to visit and post.
Now
I'm wondering, however, how many Budwig success stories of cures
for
actual diseases do we have among the 600+ members of this board?

Any feedback? Thanks.

Re: How to keep Flaxseed oil fresh during shipment?

Free Minded

Yang,

It will keep good as it is an unopened bottle. It is fragile after it is opened mostly. I have tried both, some in the fridge and some outside the fridge and they both were as good. I keep them in the fridge for extra precaution only.

You can always try it by smelling and testing a bottle left outside of your fridge at home that has been exposed to summer heat for a week, an unopened bottle of course. You will know how the flaxoil reacts and how it will support to be shipped oversea.

on-line stores ship it.

Best regards,

Carolyn,

This is close to the diet I have to follow. I am O negative and it seems to be true in my case. I get puffy eyes often as it seems I am chemically sensitive to so many things.

Yang, you would be better off, in my opinion, to ship flax SEEDS and let the recipient grind them daily as needed. You can buy flax SEED at eBay for a pittance. I just bought 10 POUNDS for $16!

Tumeric

Is anyone taking large amounts of tumeric or tumeric extract?

Absolutely, except for the fruit; many people say it's best to eat
fruit by itself (acid fruit may be eaten w/nuts). Best to eat
low-glycemic fruit along w/the high-glycemic. Low-glycemic fruit
include:
strawberries (organic), apple/pear (fresh or dried), cherries,
blackberries, raspberries, plums, prunes, peach/nectarine, dried
apricot, grapefruit.

Yes.
I know not sugar but
how about watermelon, potatoes, etc with a High Glycemic index?
Because of their high-glycemic index and other problems, I would
totally AVOID
parsnips, white/red potato (in particular), nonsprouted wheat,
couscous, and corn(meal).

Because of their high-glycemic index, I wouldn't eat LARGE amounts
of
the
following foods on an empty stomach: dates, pumpkin, rutabaga,
watermelon,
millet, pineapple, cantaloupe, rice, muesli, canned apricots,
mango
(Both the
above lists of foods are listed in order of glycemic index,
starting
w/the
highest-glycemic.). However, I WOULD make it a point to eat dates
(but
NOT on empty stomach), watermelon,
millet, cantaloupe, brown rice, and apricots, due to their
cancer-healing
properties. I wouldn't worry at all about the glycemic index of
any
other
HEALTHY foods.

Are grapes (44 GI) too high?
certainly not

Re: A request for testimony

Yahoo, Carolyn!

I've been reading about other natural substances that seem to boost the immune system. Noni juice is undergoing a clinical trial and preliminary reports are that it suppresses tumors in nude nice ("nude" means that the mice have been bred to have no immune system).

You can buy 32 oz of 100% pure Noni at this site:

Here's what the distributor says about its pricing, which I thought was quite nice.

"We have no quarrel with those who make Noni juice the proper way, whether their Noni juice is made from Noni fruit grown in Hawaii, Tahiti, or Timbuktu; nor with anyone who sells Noni juice for a reasonable price. Most people who buy Noni juice have one or more serious health problems that have not responded to traditional medicine, and have decided to explore the vast, untapped potential of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), of which Noni juice is one of the most efficacious. It is morally reprehensible to exploit such people by placing an additional financial burden upon them."

Obviously you have done a lot of research. I wish I could " direct you to a source/link that advocates its use under these circumstances.". You will not easily find doctors who practice TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) but it is being quietly done. For the past 60 years the concept of Dr. Huggins as testosterone being the cause of PCa is firmly written in stone. Most doctors do not question this.. However, this is slowly changing. Some independent thinkers who are not afraid of being ostracized are beginning to challenge this concept. These individuals reason, "Why young men with high testosterone levels do not get cancer and older men with steadily declining T evels do?" . Studies have shown that the estrogen levels in older men rise also and can be higher than those in women. Some theorize that estrogen dominance is the problem. (Workd of Dr. John Lee)

Roger Mason's book, Natural Prostate Cure, has a whole chapter on testosterone replacement and he mentions the sources Unfortunately, there are no web addresses. You have to do a lot of hard work to find the mentioned studies. I have not done that.

Dr. Bob Liebowitz. of Compassionate Oncology Medical Group (www.prostatepointers.org/prostate/leibowitz/). does use high dose T replacement but only after his patients have undergone 13 months of triple hormone blockage therapy (Casodex, Lupron & Proscar) with possible 3 month light chemotherapy thrown in. (This therapy is very harsh and is started even with Stage I PCa patients). My husband does not fit his criteria. He was on hormone blockage, first with Casodex and Lupron and then Lupron for 10 months only and now he is refractory.

I understand that Dr. Charles " Snuffy" Myers also uses T therapy. I have not visited his web site.

We do not want chemo or radiation, the next step in traditional medical protocol These treatments are palliative .and result in nasty side effects. So we are giving T therapy a try. Wish us luck

Ksenija.

The things I've read so far have been uniform in cautioning against
testosterone supplementation for men known to have PCa. Can you
direct me to a source/link that advocates its use under these
circumstances?
