Re: (unknown)

Wilhelm Hansen

That was based on taking FO by itself (not mixed with Quark or CC). That is quite different. Even Dr.Budwig cautioned against taking FO by itself. The best post we have had on that is this one:

I'm concerned after reading an article in www.webmdhealth regarding
FO and fish oil, according to a reserch from Charles Myers at the
University of Virginia Medical School,FO causes a 300% increase in
the growth of prostate cancer cells, so he doesn't reccomend FO for
men. I'll welcome any comments about that.

That is scary. Can you post a link?

MGN3

From Tracey's list:

Hi,
Just wanted to let everyone know that the Gov't has shut down Lane
Labs...The Mfg. of MGN3. It is being used as an immune booster and
also to fight cancer. The health food stores may have a supply for a
few days but that is it...I know that Lane Labs has fought and had to
pay One lawsuit in the past but this time it is the Biggie....
PLease pass this on to all you can...Some people were depending on
MGN3 to live.
Thanks and I wish all good health.

Hi everyone, I have active breast cancer as some you already know.I
am trying to find out through the literature I have (I'm a nutrition
student)including the information you have in 'files'. I'm trying to
work out in Budwig's protocol how many grams of the spread and mayo
do you need to consume a day and is there some guideline of when to
expect changes in the tumor. By the way I live outside of Melbourne
in Australia and it would be great to chat to some of you guys, so
tell me where you are so I can work out the time zone. I also have
had the opportunity to sit out in the sun today even though its the
middle of winter. Love and peace Anna

BUYING DRUGS OUTSIDE THE US - OFF TOPIC

Think about it............................

A car company can move its factories to Mexico and claim it's a free market.

A toy company can out source to a Chinese subcontractor and claim it's a
free market.

A major bank can incorporate in Bermuda to avoid taxes and claim it's a free
market.

We can buy HP Printers made in Mexico.

We can buy shirts made in Bangladesh.

We can purchase almost anything we want from different countries.

BUT, heaven help the elderly who dare to buy their prescription drugs from a
Canadian pharmacy. That's called un-American! And you think the
pharmaceutical companies don't have a powerful lobby? Think again!

You might want to send this to every person you know over age 50 as it IS an
interesting point of view.

Maybe this is an issue that should come up in the next election!

On second thought, forget the age 50, send it to everyone. We're all in this
boat together!!

CORRECTION NO WATER AND ADDING LIMES

Subj:ACV vs PDG

From:SANSRX
To:pralt-discuss@...

Hi All,
I've 500 posts to make up.

Thought I pass on what may be a hidden discovery.
PICO DE GALLO
This is a Mexican side dish (salsa if you will) prepared with:
No Water, diced tomatoes, garlic, onion, limes, cilantro & salt.
Since Apple Cider Vinegar provides healing properties, then shouldn't PDG do
same if not with superior benefits?
There's one restaurant chain through the US (there may be others I'm not
aware of) that prepares PDG from scratch daily @ their restaurants.
Seems to me that the ingredients in PDG should provide protection against
many illnesses including cancer.

PDG juice
I feed it to our 10 yr young Lab-Chow mixed with dry food, as well as
drinking it myself (as I would with ACV)

Do we have something worthwhile here or am I shooting blanks?
Thanks

Re: "not mixed in"

Jim,
I see nothing wrong with mixing ground flaxseeds into the fo/cc mixture. I do it too.

I was a little confused about whether or not ground flax seed can
be mixed in after the thorough blending of FO and CC in the
following:

> I assume if you only used FO/CC straight it would be OK if you
could handle the boredom of just that taste. Adding various fruits
etc is for variety and does not change the health benefits of FO.

That would be too one-sided. Taking fo/cc straight would be fine
if you eat fruit, berries, nuts and ground flaxseed with it (not
mixed in) because you need these foods for the nutrients that
they contain.

I make a shake after I mix the FO/CC by adding fruit, honey, and
the freshly ground FS (which I only blend for a few seconds). Is
that OK?

thanks,

jim

Re: Flaxseed capsules

Wilhelm Hansen

Are capsules just a waste of time and money, as I assume the they are not properly absorbed?
Flaxseed oil capsules are not as well absorbed as fo/cc which is the most effective way of taking FO, especially if you take larger quantities as in Dr.Budwig's Oil-Protein Diet.

I am just wondering if I should throw out the bottle I have, or continue taking. If I get no benefit, I guess I can toss it.
Since you have the flaxseed oil capsules, you may as well find a use for them. You could bite them open and use the oil in your fo/cc mix, providing they are not past the expiry date and the oil tastes fresh and is not bitter. Flaxseed oil capsules only contain 1000 mg FO. It takes almost 10 capsules to make up 1 tblsp of FO.

Barb,
if you click on the link below you will see one of the hand held electric mixers I am referring to. There are many models of them. Get one with at least 200 watt power.

I know this has been said also but the terms are
so hard to decipher what is actually meant:

"Using an electric mixer works best."

Okay, how's this for clarity: to me an electric
mixer is what one uses to make brownies and
cakes. Is that what you are referring to rather
than a blender that makes milk shakes.

So mix it like you would a cake?
Thanks

Re: Question Re: Outdated FSO

Joe,
I would swap it for a fresh one.

Wilhelm

Dear wilhelm, et al;

I bought a bottle of Spectrum flaxseed oil today, and after I opened
it and ate some (blended with CC), I noticed that the expiration date
on it was 6/21/04. It was manufactured in 8/03. It seemed to taste OK.
I called the store and they said thay'd let me swap it for a fresh one.

Should I eat this flax oil or take it back and swap it?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Joe

Re: Oil Beads ...and butter fats

Wilhelm Hansen

Perhaps FO mixes better in dairy products with more fat, but animal fats including butter fat are to be avoided as much as possible in the Oil-Protein Diet. We need to use low fat quark or CC.

On oil beading: I agree that it seems we are
going on and on but it does seem like a REALLY
important thing to get right. I have noticed
that too regarding a glistening and with
magnifying glass tiny tiny beads but no oil
surfaces after sitting. I get a better mix with
whole fat yogurt than low fat. I think because
fats dissolve other fats better. I finally got
low fat yogurt and found it harder to get the oil
to disappear in it.

I guess butter fat is bad for us or else low fat
wouldn't have been specified. If I am wrong,
tell me because I much prefer the whole fat dairy
products esp yogurt.

Re: Flaxseed capsules

I have used the capsules for one in half years now. I use it for
epilepsy only. I have had a reduction in seizures and auras. It has
had a tremendous impact on my life. My doctors can't believe how
much I have improved in my seizures.

Re: Cheryl: blender

Hi Barb,

You can read about the Oscar juicer at this link if you are interested...

I bought it quite some time ago and believe that there are better models on
the market - I honestly haven't done enough research as far as juicers are
concerned.

Cheryl,
Is the oscar juicer one that 'masticated' or
separates the juice from the pulp by centrifigal
force, grinding and whirling?
Thanks
