Re: Connecting with survivors
This is a link to the website of The Stern Method. Their son was diagnosed with cancer and they share their story. They requested a feeding port be put in so they could get nutrients into their son. They brought a juicer to his hospital room and informed the staff that their son would not be needing the hospital food. Anyway, your situation reminded me somewhat of the Sternagles, so thought I’d share. They used the Budwig as part of their son’s recovery (and he did recover!).

I am not sure about the 20 minutes for getting it into your husband. My dad had a G-tube and they used to be able to pour the FOCC shake down by adding a little water to thin it down for his meals. So sorry to hear that your husband is going through this. I myself am battling colon cancer spread to my liver and lymph nodes; but I do feel better every day that I'm on this diet.
Here are my recommendations:
1) Read this post by Sanda: it is the daily activity schedule for when he gets home: /g/FlaxSeedOil2/topic/question_for_sandra_olson/75468304 2) While he is in the hospital, buy a low RPM juicer. I am sure others here can suggest a cheaper juicer, but I have the Angel Juicer which is really easy to clean since it's all stainless steel. I wouldn't go cheap here, since you will use it nearly every day (it's more important than your stove). Here is a used one on ebay. 3) Grab a copy of the . For the most part, follow this book for your list of ingredients. 4) Barlean's Flax Seed Oil (Red Stripe Bottle) and Nancy's Organic Low Fat (2% or less) Cottage Cheese are the easiest and most recommended ingredients I have found near me for making your daily FOCC mixture. 5) Pickup an Enima Kit for Coffee Enima's. This helps stimulate and detox the liver. I do this daily, but it also helps with my colon since it has a lot of scar tissue. 6) Make sure you have a coffee grinder that you can use for flax seed 7) Consider using caster oil on the liver. Look up "Caster oil packs" 8) Sour Kraut Juice is super important. If you read the literature, it will neutralize the lactic acid output by the tumors in the blood stream. You can not make your body alkaline or get rid of tumors w/o sour kraut. If you don't have a juicer yet, I would just eat like a cup of kraut every morning. If you don't have time to make homemade kraut, you can find WildBrine Raw Organic Kraut for like $8.99 at Costco (50 oz jug). It's literally 3 ingredients: Cabbage, SeaSalt and Garlic.
No Sugar, No Preservatives, No Meat, and most importantly, NO OIL OTHER THAN FLAX SEED OIL. Prefer Organic Produce whenever possible. Some will say you can cook with coconut oil or you can use Olive Oil, but if you follow the research from Dr. Gerson, I would stay away from any other oil until at least 18 months after remission. The gist of this is that you can not go out to eat or have anything processed from the grocery store.
There is a transition diet that is about 3 days long, but I don't think any of us here have done that and you can find it in the Oil Protein Cookbook I believe.
Cooking is hard, but there are things like "waterless/oilless" (not cheap) cooking pans that can help out. Also, learn to make sauces that can be utilized on veggies or custom made flat breads with Quinoa or Spelt Flour.
There is a lot of information here for you to unpack, so once you do that, feel free to shoot me questions. This diet is strict and not very fun at all, but it's life or death at this point. Also, they will not radiate the liver and pending how many metastasis are on his liver, treatment will most likely not save his life, since chemo usually does not cure, it only gets you to surgery and they will want to remove any section of the liver that had a metastasis.

My advice would be when he gets out of the hospital, take him to the clinic so you both are in as much a stress free environment as possible.? You will be under an expert's?guidance with both medical background and the protocol experience on adjustments to make for his?medical condition. He can improve and regain some strength?for completing daily tasks himself.

Re: Connecting with survivors
Hello Jane,
Others can speak from their experience but I do not believe you will be able to "divert" the nurses and hospital staff from doing what they do. They do not believe in anything that isn't "FDA Approved" or protocol from their stand point.
As for the Budwig Diet, this is not really a diet that you can force onto someone; as it's really a personal commitment. It really changes your life, what you can and can't do and how you go about your day. No more restaurants or eating easy on the go foods. Foods that you used to love are off the list or banned (I would love a good surf and turf again). Coffee enimas are not the funnest thing to do, but to me I feel great afterwards.
With your explanation of metastasis surrounding the liver, I can tell you he would require a liver transplant from the medical point of view to be cured; and they will not do any surgery until all metastasis are considered stable.
Basically, your husband has to decide that he wants to go this route, not you; and it's a decision he is making for the rest of his life. There is not really any going back to your old way of life.
Best of luck, stringa

Re: Connecting with survivors
This is a very good point. I would also suggest that once the flax seeds are mixed into the flax oil and cottage cheese it slows or even mitigates any spoilage. I never once finished my FO/CC within the 20 minute window. It usually was more like 45 minutes as I also added berries and walnuts and due to the constriction in my throat I had to chew food to the point that it would easily pass to my stomach. I also would finish drinking my green tea prior to eating the muelsi so there was that. I wouldn't be concerned about any time limit on getting it into the patient, just get it in.

Re: Connecting with survivors
Rod, thank you so much for all that information I know about the herb I used to take it in pill form so I may try to add that in an enema. I haven’t done an enema in a while, but I’m gonna start as I’m going out to Tijuana to oasis of healing so when I get back I’ll be doing more enemas. Thank you for all the information and God bless you.?

I would suggest getting the 5lb or 2 kilo sizes, respectively. I always used 2 tbl coffee in my enemas and continued that amount along with the ground annua herb. As with any plant, concentrations may vary from lot to lot. When I started I brewed 2 tbl of herb along with the organic coffee in my 5 cup coffee maker, but you may want to start with one tbl. If you don't feel any ill effects, such as Herx, increase from there. I make 1 quart and do two "doses", 8 ounces for about 10 minutes and then the remaining 24 ounces for 30 minutes. The smaller first dose seemed to clear the colon and make the larger second dose easeir to take. I did this every morning after BM when I was home. I was often at my daughter's on weekends tho so usually was 5 days on and 2 days off. The body doesn't develop a resistance to the herb, like it does with the artemsinin extract, so pulsing isn't necessary, but as I found out it isn't necessary to do every day. Then again, if very ill it might be advantageous to do more than one a day.
There is no book on this, and I know of nobody else who has experimented with annua aneamas. When I started with the ground herb I added it to my juices twice a day, and could feel it was having an effect, but I started to get stomach pains. I traced it to the herb so had to stop. Not being one to give up it then occurred to me to try it in my enemas, which also allowed me to admiinister a higher concentration than possible orally. The results were significant. While Budwig did heal much of my cancer, there was one tumor in particular that continued pressing on my throat, making it difficult to swallow food. After several months of annua anemas that tumor finally shrunk to the point it was no longer a constriction. Other reminders of my desease, like headaches and back pains, also diminished.
If you are not already doing coffee enemas and need advice on apparatus and such feel free to email me personally.

Since being let go from chemo, I've seen just a steady increase in my CEA antigen test, which has historically been a good indicator on how my cancer is doing. I saw decreases when the tumors were shrinking on chemo and increases when I saw spread on my liver on chemo. In general, to me, this would mean my cancer is still growing and spreading right now.

Hello!? I m new here and it is very confusing.? I' m hoping someone would be kind enough to give me some direction.? My sister, Joanne Doe Bucky? Shott was on the Budwig diet for many years with much success until very recently.? She passed 6 weeks ago and so I cannot turn to her for guidance here on this site or with the program in general.??
MY husband was just diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer in the last 2 weeks.? Also has severe kidney complications?at the same?time.? ?He appeared extremely healthy until just a few short weeks ago. He is in the ICU now and on dialysis hoping to regain a good percentage of his kidney function as without that, they cannot offer any treatment for the cancer?at all.? We are praying for kidney?function?to return and then bring him home?and? jump right into the Budwig protocol?full force.? NO chemo!
In the meantime they are pumping sugar into him to maintain?his blood pressure - juices,? jello,? sugar drips, and on and on,.? That is upsetting to me as I know they are continuously feeding the cancer.??
While he is undergoing the dialysis,? I was thinking of? bringing him a full portion of the FOCC daily (I live 10 min away so can get it to him quickly) to get a jump start on the Protocol while he is still in the hospital.? Anything to try to possibly slow down the progression? so that? we have a better chance of getting him home where we can? go full force on the protocol.
We know this is a long long shot considering all he is up against right? now. Cirrhosis as well.? But we have to try!
Any guidance as to what to do, where to find info,? who to contact will be sincerely appreciated!

Where did you buy your annua herbs? I’ve heard good things about that herb. I’d like to try that enema. Did you use half/half of coffee & herb for the enema? Thanks for this info

I could always tell there was still cancer present as I would get physical reminders and my Navarro numbers showed a presence. Once I added the annua herb to my enemas that all cleared up and I found I could eat practically anything I wanted. I have had no ill effects from the annua other than occasional Herxheimer Reactions early on when I started. I worked up to 6 tbl without issues, but would suggest starting @ 1 tbl and increasing until you feel a reaction and then back off slightly.

I am working on my 7th week of the protocol, but I am continuously trying to re-evaluate what I'm doing and make sure I'm doing as much of the protocol that I can as I'm not 100% every day with the protocol. Most of the time I end up skipping lunch since I just had the FOCC mixture around 10am and I eat it again around 3:30pm, with dinner following around 6 or 7pm. I intake a lot of juice and I am using the Prife iTerraHertz wand on average 2 times each day, which adds 8 cups of water to my diet. I've added in essiac tea around 8pm and I take a second glass of sour kraut juice around 9pm right before I start relaxing to goto bed.
People continuously say that it takes at least 3 months for the diet to start working, but it's definitely scary when that's nearly half the time you have left (in theory), as it's kinda a commitment point I had to accept 7 weeks ago.

Go with how YOU feel! Not the doctors numbers. Rest and move around as much as tolerated. Keep up the juicing and nutrients you get from the foods on Budwig. I am a Hospice graduate and I am believing for you also?? Sent from Grace’s iPhone ?
