Cynthia,
Please re-consider your chemo.
I could have but didn't give in to my family, (a team of nurses) or the urologist, their insistence was relentless to have a prostate biopsy.
Thanks to the fellowship of prostate90.com, I refused.
I'm now not regretting that decision.
Now, I have flaxseed2's fellowship as a support group, and believe my prostate inflammation has diminished due to my diet change, exercise, and CCFOFSG taken daily.(cottage cheese+flaxoil+flaxseeds grounded)
It is because of these two support groups that I strive for continued health improvement.
Listen to your inner voice & no one elses.
My opinion and mine only
Thank you all @ pralt-discuss and flaxseed2.

Praise God that Flaxseed oil and miracles do happen!!

I hate to say this, but I will be doing the chemo, to make my family happy and to make the doctors happy. I also will be using the f/o and cc along -too.

I am now back to the cottage cheese instead of using the companion nutrients.

Hi,

Last night and tonight I had two very interesting phone calls from a Lady in
Knoxville, TN.

Her husband is suffering from a recurrance of Esophageal cancer. He is taking Heavy doses of FO/CC.

Their son is a Urologist.

He told his mother that he knew of men who were bringing down their PSAs with FO/CC but that he didn't know it would help other cancers. This man treats some who are in our cancer support group but to patients he never gives any hint about his knowing anythng about FO/CC.

I will never reveal his name but I thought that was interesting.

Re: Tom's 12 Month MRI Report

Wilhelm Hansen

Kelly, that is great!
For your additional comfort, I want to tell you that the man I know and
wrote about before, who was also healed of his brain cancer using the
Budwig Diet is still free of cancer. That was in 1997. I last spoke with
him about a month ago. However, he is still following the principles of
the Budwig Diet. That is important. I hope Tom keeps up his fo/cc
regimen also. In that case, Dr.Budwig's words in her latest book
'Cancer, the Problem and the Solution' p.110 (available in German only)
should likely apply: "Further tumors or metastasis will not occur."

Good health to you and Tom,
Wilhelm

Re: Sulfur protein content

Jon Palmer

Wilhelm:

Many thanks for the information.

Jon

Jon,
I don't remember reading that Dr.Budwig used goat milk products. The
problem with goat milk and goat milk products is that they are
relatively high in fat content. I have not seen low fat goat milk being
sold. That may have to do with the smaller fat globules in goat milk as
compared to cow milk. Goat milk fat does not separate as cow milk fat
does as you may know. That doesn't mean that you can not use them. Using
a bit of goat milk as a thinner for your fo/cc should not increase the
fat content by much on the overall. Here are the meth/cyst comparisions:

Milk, cow 1% fat - 0.113 g meth/cyst per 100 g
Milk, goat 4% fat - 0.126 g meth/cyst per 100 g

I don't know how much it will change the taste though. I believe that
fruits, spices, etc. are much more effective in changing the taste of
your fo/cc. Wilhelm

taste?
Thanks.

In Longview and Tyler Tx there is a health food store called the Granary

Re: ALA/Prostate cancer

Peter Fackelmann

Jane -

your examples show the weak/wrong basis of Dr Myers' statements.
Could you advise where to get the (complete?) texts?

Thank you

Peter

Hello everyone:

This is Jane, not Mike this time. I feel compelled to comment on this
discussion, for I am often asked on what I think about whether or not flax
oil is helpful or harmful regarding prostate cancer. I don't have time to
read all the previous posts, so I apologize up front if I have repeated
anything other people have contributed.

Dr. Charlie Myers writes a very convincing message and certainly does not
tell you the whole picture. Here are some examples:
1) when he talks about the population studies, he fails to tell you that
the populations that had a higher rate of prostate cancer and higher
intakes of ALA(alpha-linolenic acid---the omega-3 fat found in flax), the
ALA source was NOT FLAXSEED. The ALA source was from high intakes of red
meat in the diet. So, making the assumption that flax oil will cause
prostate cancer is wrong.

2) when he talks about the cell culture work where ALA is found to
increase proliferation rate in prostate cancer cell lines. Given the
instability of ALA and the fact that when you perform cell culture, you
basically use purified fatty acids and then allow them to cook for several
days in the incubator, it would not surprise anyone that highly
unsaturated fatty acids wouldn't behave the same way. It is doubtful that
you can take this cell culture work and assume that this would occur in
vivo studies.

I find it very encouraging to hear testimonials from people on this list,
because it tells researchers that we don't have enough studies yet to
really make those hasty conclusions. Everyone makes a valuable
contribution on this list. Please keep those comments coming!

Very interesting site, but no link to the COX-2/cancer connection. I have
grown Holy Basil and ginger for decades and have never suspected these other
qualities.

I'd also like to hear other's thoughts on this.

Re: Tom's 12 Month MRI Report

Please be careful Cynthia, Tom regrets taking the five days of
radiation (2 treatments a day) that he did take. We were blessed in
that the outlook for Tom's survival was so bleak the Doc's or our
family didn't try to bully us. Both Tom's Mom and sister are RN's.
The Doctor figured and even wrote in his notes that due to the
shortness of life left he should have the freedom to do what he
wants. This is the same doctor who walked into Tom's waiting room
today and wanted to touch Tom for good luck (We told him that there
wasn't any luck involved) God Bless You, Kelly
