Decent conventional & 'must have organic' foods
soundingchimes
Hi all,
I have a great book called "Fresh Choices" by David Joachim and Rochelle Davis which is part cookbook and part informative book on sustainable agriculture. It tells which produce is best consumed organic and which is okay to eat conventional with minimum pesticide. I made this list for my own use. I hope that this helps some of you. Cheers Devon Eat Conventional: Bananas, plantains, pineapples, mangoes, papayas, kiwi, honeydew, U.S. cantaloupe, Grapefruit, oranges (without peel), lemons (without peel), limes (without peel), blueberries, blackberries, U.S. grapes, tangerines, watermelon, plums, asparagus, avocados, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, eggplant, okra, onions, peas, radishes, sweet corn (non GMO), chard, romaine lettuce, Eat Organic: Apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, cherries, red raspberries, strawberries, apricots, spinach, peppers, celery, potatoes, tomatoes Check for "non GMO" Canola, Corn, Soy, Cotton, Check for "rBGH free" or "rBST free" in dairy products, choose organic when available. |

Hi,
According to my new raw food recipe book, the gray stuff is normal. Here is a quote from the recipe for cultured vegetable recipe: " When you uncover the vegetables (after 5 days of fermenting),the top may be a little moldy. This is perfectly normal. Take a spoon and scrape the top layer off." Ursula wrote: Josie: your sauerkraut is fermenting , there is nothing wrong. Itbubbles forming on top of the fuzz..... |

Too much FO?

I recently purchased an awesome recipe book called Elaina's Pure Joy
Kitchen. She has a lot of great recipes that use FO. I am wondering if I eat these meals w/fo in addition to the FO/CC if I might be overdoing it. Here is a sample recipe: 1 bunch of Kale 1 bunch of Chard 1 med. red onion 2 cloves garlic 2 med. avocadoes 1med. zuccini (julienned) Marinade: 3/4 c flax oil 1/2 c. lemon juice 1 tsp. celtic salt Remove stems from Kale and Chard and break into bite sized pieces. Pour marinade over leaves and mix well. Squeeze leaves well with your hands to help soften them. Mix the rest of the ingred. into bowl with marinade and let sit for an hour or more. She also has recipes that use soaked flax seeds, depending on the gelatinous quality to add substance to a dish. |

Cony came home from his last hospitalization at the end of January 2006, when he was declared terminal, with 6 months or less to live. Around that time I found out about Dr. Budwig's protocol. However, it was not possible to fully implement it on Cony. He was way too sick, nauseated all the time, with an acute gastritis not allowing him to eat fresh veggies and fruits, extremely depressed and struggling with shingles. At that time, most days he could not have even a full portion of fo/cc the entire day, or any other food, without vomiting. Being on Morphine, because his tremendous pain, and being extremely weak because of the disease, he was sleeping a lot during the day, and staid awake a lot during the night when he was continuously coughing and expectorating. For these reasons, in that period he was taking supplements, drinking herbal teas and he was having fo/cc as much as he could tolerate, which was equal to approx. one portion per day only. Although we eliminated at that time the bad foods and oils, he was not on full protocol. Even like that, in couple of months he improved a lot and was able to go to full protocol. So, to answer your question, he's been on full protocol since April-May 2006. Not long after that, we dropped all supplements and staid with BP, herbal teas (which in fact are part of protocol) and the drink I make from aloe juice, honey and wine. In time, he's got progressively better, being declared in "partial remission", "good partial remission", and now, "no trace of cancer". We are very happy and pleased with the results, and of course we will continue with the protocol. Some of my first messages regarding Cony's condition and status are #35524 #36163 from last year. God bless! Georgeta "Melanie King" wrote: Georgeta, |

Decrease in CAA 19 9 & increase in CEA, stains in lung & liver

For Georgetta, please kindly let me know how long has your husband followed a regimen of FO/CC to have such a wonderful result? Your news is very encouraging!
My mother's been eating FO/CC and taking herbal capsules for 3 weeks. Her blood test yesterday showed a decrease in CAA 19 9 from 1,200 to 780 and an increase in CEA from 17 to 27. CT scan showed stains in lung and liver - Please kindly advise if you have any idea about those stains, are they begining forms of tumors? what's exactly CEA and CAA 199 - I know that they're cancer cell marker but I wonder why they are so different in the blood test. I appreciate very much for your help. God Bless. |

Dangers of Conventional Root Canals
"[Dentist Weston Price (www.WestonaPrice.org)] removed those canals of people suffering from kidney and heart disease and in most cases their condition improved. Then he inserted the root-filled teeth under the skin of rabbits who have immune systems similar to humans. If a small fragment were inserted, within two weeks the rabbit died with the same condition the human donor had. If a large fragment was inserted, the rabbit died within 12 hours to 2 days." "Dr. Price observed that angina pectoris, phlebitis, hypertension, heart block, anemia, and inflammation of the heart muscle are frequent side effects of root canal therapy. He also reported that he would sometimes see heart patients with outwardly normal- appearing root canal teeth resolve most or all of their symptoms upon removal of those dead teeth [H. A. Dental Assn. [for 14 years], made the astonishing claim that if teeth that have had root canals are removed from patients suffering from kidney and heart disease, these diseases will resolve in most cases. Moreover, implanting these teeth in animals results in the animals developing the same kind of disease found in the person from whom the tooth was taken. Dr. Price found that toxins seeping out of the root canals can cause systemic diseases of the heart, kidney, uterus, and nervous and endocrine systems...research has demonstrated that 100 percent of all root canals result in residual infection" (_Alternative Medicine: The Definitive Guide_, Burton Goldberg Group, 1993, pp. 81-83; alternativemedicine.com). "Cavitations are infected areas in bone surrounding the roots of teeth. They usually come from infected matter in root canalled teeth. When a DDS does root canal therapy (RCT) s/he sterilizes and fills the vertical pulp canal - about an inch long - and leaves infected the approximate 3 miles of dentinal tubules that cannot yet be treated..full of infection - that will continue to release toxins, viruses, etc. into the blood stream for the rest of your life..Infections from this source affects your entire immune system.. Re: Swollen neck nodes
I have lymph nodes where the cancer once traveled too. And depending on the angle in which I check them, I can get ALL different sizes and shapes. Try sitting in EXACTLY the same position when you check. Try making the same neck muscles flare or not flare also. Hope that helps. :)

Thanks you so much Martha for taking the time to write so
thoughtfully! I do not feel chemo or radiation will give him better quality of life either as they claim and might make his suffering longer. He is a Christian and is very at peace with his situation. I am one too but I dont have that - he feels God has really given him a gift of peace- he is very okay about it all! Although he doesnt KNOW in his heart one way or another what will happen to him. Soemtimes I feel like I am deluding myself that this could happen for us but other times I feel like this WILL happen. He and we so want to be right and show the drs. a thing or two like many of you are and also to be a blessing to help others facing this same situation. I had the same thought today - that "tumor" could be something else. I doubt its necrotic b/c he has had no radiation only the glaidel wafers in his brain.... His diet is basically all out of the Oil-Protein cook book. Sauerkraut juice in the AM along with Essiac tea, Quark the recommended number of times a day, in a variety of ways, berries - especially raspeberries and blueberries....raw veggies for lunch snack, outside for an hour or so of sun....champagne with flax in teh afternoon....dinner - groats, veggie broth lightly cooked veggies or quinoa and beans and veggies and lots of Oleolux on everything,,,we put raw manchego cheese on hot meals and for a snack...saurkraut for meals/snacks...lots of raw veggie juiicng, mango/papya occasionally.... He does snort curcumin and feverfew dissolved in coconut oil up his nose and he is going to start a homeopathic called ruta 6C and Cal Phos which is known to work on Brain cancers...he takes melatonin at night - I'll have to check with my mom for the rest. he did take supplemnets and Im not sure if he is off those or not......he takes prozac and an anti-seizure med that we cant take him off....steroids are next if this keeps growing....which are very bad and protect cancer cells..... He also uses an elctromedicine device similar to a Vibe machine..... Thanks! Meredith |
Re: Brain tumor re-growth - Martha
Martha,
My name is Lynne and I am the sister of Meredith's step Dad, Tim. I have been reading the posts faithfully since joining this group sometime in June, but have only written in response to one of them so far. Thank you for all of your thoughtful suggestions, information, insights and encouraging words. A friend of a friend has written a book entitled "Painless Cancer Cures and Preventions Your Doctor May Not Be Aware Of", which she sent to me at the beginning of this journey. (After Tim's 2nd surgery, June 12). She is a licensed R.N. with also a B.B.A. majoring in Managed Care. Her work in the medical field along with the loss of three family members to cancer exposed her to the "horrendous and discouraging effects that her family members and patients suffered from chemo and radiation " and she "started to question the appropriateness of conventional cancer treatment". As a result. she "began an intensive study of alternative cancer therapies which culminated in this book". After receiving her book and reading it, I wrote to her and asked her if she knew then what she knows now, what would she do. She responded that she would first go on Budwig Protocol and then she would take her loved one to the Burzynski Clinic in Texas, along with other things. I've said all of that to ask the question: does anyone out there in this group know of anyone going to the Burzynski Clinic and if so, what can you tell me about the experience? Tim has an incredible attitude, trusting and believing that all of what he is going through is all a part of God's plan, and is set on making sure that whatever happens, it all give glory to God, somehow. He is extremely compliant with the BP and doing his part and watching what will happen next. He is at peace with excepting whatever comes as God's will. It's a little more difficult for the rest of us, though. So, thank you so very much for your caring heart, support and prayers, as we know that is where the only true power is. Lynne Shannonhouse, sister of Tim Shrewsbury 1st surgery March, 2007 (thought it was just a blood clot) 2nd surgery June, 2007 diagnosed GBM stage IV, Glidial wafers inserted into cavity, no chemo or radiation chosen, started BP |

Re: Brain tumor re-growth
Meredith,
I am sorry that the news from the new MRI is not better. Recalling the reports and doctors' comments from my sister's GBM journey, a few things come to mind. First, we know little more than your S/Dad had surgery in June for GBM where they were able to resect the tumor. I also recall that he had a "chemo wafer" in the tumor site. More specifics may be helpful as well, but also perhaps writing out his daily foods/ intake and activities may help some "good eyes" in the group find things which might be helpful concerning the protocol. I do remember at least twice I came across patients whose journey was similar and showed a regrowth (or questionable area), which when additional surgery was done, it turned out to be necrotic tissue... so what seems bad now, is not without the chance of error. One was Tom, Another long term survivor who had a regrowth is David M. Bailey. I think I could actually come up with one or two more as well. A quote I have had to remind myself of at times, which a vet told me once, "Where the is life, there is hope." Often when things look bleak, better things are just around the corner. It has been that way with several on this list... For you and your S/Dad, don't give up hope and don't resign yourself to believing the doctor's prognosis. Someone has to "scue" (not sure if that is spelled right)the odds! Who better than your S Dad? I am not sure I would give much credit to the doctor's comment about the chemo and radiation... My sister did agressive treatment with chemo and radiation til the cancer took her ability to swallow... I know the quality of her life suffered because of the side effects of the chemo and radiation. This comment is to neither discourage or encourage, just hopefully any decision is well thought out and researched and not made out of fear. There have been some good posts lately adressing that very thing. People in general, make poor decisions when they make them out of fear. Your post regarding the upcoming MRI spoke of him still working at overcoming the effects of the last surgery, but overall feeling well. His feeling okay is encouraging, even though I know you would love more. I pray that some doors will open soon that will be real encouraging for your family. Also, I pray for your S Dad's healing and that you each feel God's loving arms supporting each of you as you search for more help. Your family will be in my prayers tonight. Martha --- "Meredith W." wrote: said he has about 3+ mos to live and they wont be good ones with no radiation or chemo. Ya know the brain is very different from other organs and in many ways not as forgiving as it is teh central computer for the whole body. When their is regrowth or swelling it can kill. So we are trying to figure out whats best. We know radiation only delays and seals the deal in most cases, so we want to keep going with BP but there is so little time for it to work. He had a full resection - has anyone here started BP with a full resection of their tumor - had re- growth and then tumor shrinkage? Its one thing to see swelling but this is growth where their seemed to be nothing before? Any thoughts? |
Swollen neck nodes
Hi all,
I'm still battling with this last node in my neck. Is it normal for it to fluctuate in size on a daily basis? I didn't think it was. However, I use this as a barometer for what's going on, but am getting confused. This morning it was almost gone, and tonight, it's back, (still small though, approx 1.5 cm - 1/2 inch). Anyone know what might be going on? Thanks Michele |
Re: Need help with the fermented cabbage and pineapple combination
What happens on the 6th day while the cabbage and pineapple
combination is fermenting and the white fuzz that appeared turns to GREY fuzz, and worst yet, you never stirred it once during the whole 6 days. What then? Is this still salvagable? Is it still safe to eat or drink? Or should I just pitch it? I have scooped off the strange looking material at the top and dumped that and then I took a knife, which reached the bottom, and stirred it. Before I took off the strange looking grey fuzzy material that formed the top I did notice that it shrank a bit, around the upper sides of the bottle. In any event, I'm trying to figure out whether all this is still okay to eat or drink? I guess you drink the stuff not eat it? Right? Basically you drink this in the morning? I'm new to the cabbage stuff. Josie "flursula" wrote: Josie: your sauerkraut is fermenting , there is nothing wrong. Itis producing the good stuff. If you look closely. you will see bubbles forming on top of the fuzz, stir it twice a day and taste it to see how sour the juice is. At the beginning it is almost sweet. As each day passes the liquid will get more sour. I like to keep it on my kitchen counter for at least 10 days but I start taking the juice as soon I feel it is sour enough to taste about the 7 day. I get a colander and strained the juice. The rest of the kraut I press in my Norwalk juicer. All of this juice I put in bottles and refrigerate. I hope this helps. Best wishes, Ursula |

Fantastic news Eric , keep up the good work.
Regards Trish, Sydney, Australia From: Eric G. Wruck Had more bloodwork done & for the first time since my lymphoma relapse last fall, my LDH is in the normal range. It fell from 207 (three weeks ago) to 179. According to the Ohio State lab, normal is 100-190. Needless to say, I am thrilled! I was actually kind of worried since I had been on vacation & strayed a little. I did have my focc twice a day & some vegetable juice daily (but less than at home). However, I confess that I did sample a couple scones that the English proprietress of the B&B made for afternoon tea (they were superb but after that I boycotted the teas). On the plus side, I got a lot of sun at the beach & got to bed earlier than usual. In September I'll repeat the CT scan & get a more definitive idea of what my lymphoma is doing. For now, I am optimistic. I continue to feel great. I'm so glad I found this group. All the best, Eric |
