Hi Suzy,
guess JB wanted to offer a kind of variety to the users plus the fact
that some of her recipes date from a time where circumstances may have
been difficult to always get fresh food. I'm sure that the original,
unsweetened condensed milk is by far not as valuable than fresh milk
but that it does no harm when only used in small amounts from time to
time.
