Re: Immersion blender

A 24 ounce cottage cheese container works perfectly.

Rod,?
I use a 16- ounce glass beer mug with a handle....easy..,,stick blender fits right in.
Then eat the FOCC straight from the mug.
Been doing it like that for 10 years now.
i wash the mug afterwards, then return it to the fridge....so it is cold for the next serving.

I don't understand, Dean. The blades will lift the contents and blend them, but a bowl is a poor vessel for this. The hand blender I originally used came with a measuring and mixing cup that is cylindrical and just a itte larger than the blender. A standard 2-cup measuring cup works well also.

Rod I think with the small quantities in FOCC, the blades in a blender might not reach the contents of the bowl.

The oil and cottage cheese have to be whipped together to be mixed at the molecular level. I don't think it is possible to do that with a spoon. Curious as to why not use a blender?

Is it necessary to use an immersion blender for the flaxseed oil/cottage cheese mixture or can it just be stirred really well until the oil cannot be seen?

Thanks!
