Hey, don't tamper with the recipe..... limes, like lemons help the body
become more alkaline. and the lime juice is what 'cooks' the cod or whatever
fish used in ceviche. Avoid spoiled fish and have it prepared the 'right'
way....with plenty of garlic, red onion slices and cilantro, plus some nice
hot pepper.
