Re: questions

Hi Marsha,

As has been mentioned already, excessive consumption of flax seed oil is
not advised when it is not combined with cottage cheese. As far as the
consumption of ground raw flax seeds is concerned, I believe the important
thing is to consume the ground up seeds soon after grinding them, ie. before
the resultant food goes rancid which occurs with exposure to oxygen and is
exacerbated by exposure to heat and light. Just keep your seeds in a cool,
dark place, and don't grind them up until they're required. Baking the seeds
seems counter intuitive to me.

I hope my comments help.

Hi,
I was doing research on coconut oil...and found a site "bad mouthing" flax oil as being dangerous....my questions : it might be dangerous because it is not mixed with the cottage cheese? they also stated that raw flax seed was dangerous. I also bake my flax seed @ 250degrees for 20 minutes. (before I grind them) I was told that got rid of the dangerous part...IS this correct?
