I've been told that one should never heat flax seeds or flax seed oil above 110 degrees. I was told by a chemist that flax oil is unstable and has a tendency to "go bad" fast when either exposed to too much light or heat.
I believe you may have read false information, though I would be interested in looking at that web site myself. Please provide that web address.

I was doing research on coconut oil...and found a site "bad mouthing" flax oil as being dangerous....my questions : it might be dangerous because it is not mixed with the cottage cheese? they also stated that raw flax seed was dangerous. I also bake my flax seed @ 250degrees for 20 minutes. (before I grind them) I was told that got rid of the dangerous part...IS this correct?
