Hi Mary,
From: Maureen Jones <maureenhjones@...>
In your reply to Darla, you mentioned almonds being excellent. Is this
because they are a natural form of omega-6's?
No, their Omega 6 content's unhealthy, but I think it's substantially outweighed
by their powerful anticancer ingredients. Alos, they are specifically prescribed
to cancer patients by some practitioners. They were also found to be a commonly
consumed food amongst people who had spontaneous remissions.
Although walnuts contain much harmful Omega 6, they contain a little Omega 3, as
well as ellagic acid and IP6.
Do you feel the omega-6's are okay in the nuts
No, my understanding is that all Omega 6 (except for GLA, which is only in
borage, blackcurrant, & evening primrose oils) promotes cancer growth, but I
doubt you get that much Omega 6 from a few nuts.
Raw nuts are best. Ideally, they should be soaked or SPROUTED.
