Re: Trebek

Thanks for this behind-the-scenes look, Cole. I don't watch tv much, but always liked watching Jeopardy if it happened to be on when I was somewhere with a tv, and my dad was a dedicated and participatory viewer, always verbally tossing out his answers, right more often than not (nobody else in our family could ever beat him at Trivial Pursuit!).?

Yes, I still mix the show these days.

I was called into work yesterday. Across the street from the lot, I
entered a drive-thru car wash before work. While submerged and in the
wash cycle, I decided to look at my email on my phone. I saw a note
from the producers that Alex had died.

It was the second time in two mornings that my eyes welled-up.
Saturday from joy, and Sunday from losing somebody I tracked for
decades.

We all went into work and recorded a brief message from the Executive
Producer which will be incorporated into tonight's show.

In a way, Alex was like M.E.S. Both whip-smart. Both commanding
presences onstage. Both with inimitable styles. Both irreplaceable.
(Although unlike the Fall, Jeopardy will continue to produce.)

I'm going to miss Alex.

And yes, those Radio City shows were a blast -- but not as much fun as
the meet-ups with the Big Apple FallNet contingent.
